Resident Care Attendant (RCA)
Position Overview:
The Resident Care Attendant (RCA) is a vital member of the Stepping Stone Medical Respite team. In this role, you will provide direct support and assistance to residents receiving medical respite care, helping ensure their safety, comfort, and well-being during your shift.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Experience working with individuals experiencing homelessness or underserved populations is preferred
- Individuals with lived experience are encouraged to apply
General:
- Respond to resident needs and provide support during assigned shift hours
- Ensure a safe and supportive environment for all residents
- Monitor and supervise residents throughout the shift (awake position)
- Assist with meal preparation (must have basic cooking ability)
- Perform light housekeeping and general cleaning tasks
- Complete basic data entry and light office work
- Provide occasional transportation for residents to medical appointments
- Follow all SSMR policies and procedures
Schedule:
- Weekend Shifts Available:
- 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to remain awake and attentive during the entire shift
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel in various weather conditions
- Strong sense of responsibility, compassion, and teamwork
